Description

The Company is engaged in the construction of roads and bridges, grading and excavation, levees, concrete and rock structures. The work is performed under fixed-price contracts and fixed-price contracts modified by incentive and penalty provisions. The length of the Company contracts varies from six months to twenty-four months. Construction contracts are reported for tax purposes on the cash basis method and for financial statement purposes on the percentage-of-completion method. Accelerated depreciation is used for tax reporting and straight-line depreciation is used for financial reporting. The listed sales price for the business and the Real Estate includes equipment at its original cost of $7,279,269 and the Real Estate at an estimated value of $450,000. Refer to file #73939DS.
